Cold-drawn hardened and tempered steel rod for extra strength?shocks are warranted for as long as you own your vehicle! Over uneven city streets or highway expansion strips, the VST½ senses the "easy" piston travel and tailors the ride for greater comfort. No annoying thump caused by heavy belted tires and radials. During a hard ride the VST½ senses the faster piston travel and instantly increases damping resistance. Rough road or no road? VST½ "knows" it and provides the control needed. Huge 1-3/8" bore (1-3/16" piston on applications with limited clearance) plus the 60% more fluid and gas capacity than conventional heavy-duty shocks means they run cooler to provide easier handling and greater stability.
